[Bangyudang] Korean Sweet Pumpkin Misugaru
We're back with another misugaru- this time it's Korean Sweet Pumpkin!
Korean Sweet Pumpkin (also known as Kabocha) is an excellent source for Vitamin A.
In fact, a single serving of sweet pumpkin provides 70% of your daily Vitamin A needs. It's fat-free, sodium-free, cholesterol-free and a good source for fiber.
This misugaru is made with locally-grown Korean sweet pumpkins.
The sweet pumpkins are washed, carefully sliced, dried, roasted and then ground into a fine powder.
It's then mixed with: Sweet Pumpkin (30%), Ground Barley (44%), Brown Rice (13%) and Soybeans (13%).
So what does it taste like? It remind us of butternut squash - but slightly sweeter.
For a healthy breakfast shake, we recommend mixing a few scoops of this Misugaru with honey and milk (exact ratio listed below).
Misugaru can be used in many different ways.
Drink it cold in the summer. Or mix it with hot milk for a soothing latte. Sprinkle it over yogurt or use it as a topping for Patbingsu Shaved Ice!
This sweet pumpkin misugaru is very good product but I hope little more pumpkins in this misugaru.

I bought 4 flavours at one go: Original, Black, Cocoa & Sweet Pumpkin. All are so delicious! :) Between the 4 flavours, I feel this one is actually the safest to try first, if you're worried you won't like the 'grain' taste. The pumpkin makes this taste creamier and naturally sweeter than the rest of the flavours I tried, if you follow their recommended recipe then I would actually only put half a tbsp of honey instead of a full one. So far I've only ever mixed it with milk which makes this taste even creamier, but maybe using water will bring out more of its taste. For me, this is definitely better when drank as a hot latte! :)
I ordered this flavour of misugaru as part of the three-colour bundle. This flavour naturally tastes a little sweeter than the others, due to the pumpkin. I like the basic misugaru a lot, because it's convenient and nutritious. Having an orange vegetable in it makes it feel even healthier!
