Traditional Yugi, Premium Quality
[Nothyang] Yugi Raised Noodle Bowl
We are very excited to introduce Nothyang to Gochujar!
Nothyang was distinguished as the #1 Top Winner in "2022 Korea Best Brands" for Yugi Brassware - marking a remarkable three-year consecutive winning streak.
This is Nothyang's Yugi Raised Noodle Bowl.
The Yugi bowl features high sides, which makes it ideal for dishes with broth, such as Naengmeyon (냉면), or those packed with numerous ingredients, like Samgyetang (삼계탕).
Compared to Nothyang's Classic Ramen & Soup bowl, this bowl is larger, standing at 7.7cm in height and a wider diameter of approximately 19.7cm - it can hold more volume!
Now, take a look at the close-up photos below and you’ll see the exquisite beauty of this bowl.
The bowl is smoothed out impeccably in the inside - giving the bowl a 360° golden sheen. It'll capture your gaze and focus it on the food.
What separates Korean Yugi (also known as Bangjja) from other brozenware is the alloy ratio between copper and tin. Yugi uses an exact ratio of 78% copper and 22% tin.
Because of this difference, Yugi bowls and plates have a beautiful, natural golden sheen that gets brighter over time - as well as self-sterilizing properties!
Yugi kills and prevents viruses, bacteria and microorganisms from growing on its surface.
This is why Yugi was used to serve the Korean Royal Family and Court during the older days.
In recent years, Yugi has made a comeback in the modern Korean kitchen. It's in vogue ... and become a popular gift for both newlyweds and solo-livers.
If you've started with a 1-Person Yugi Set, consider adding this signature bowl piece to your collection!
100% Made in Korea. Lifetime Durability.

How to clean Yugiware
Step 1: Make sure the Yugi is entirely dry (do not rinse before scrubbing). Next, gently scrub in the same direction as the metal fiber grain
For the sides, scrub left-and-right. For the bottom, scrub in a circular motion
(Note: Use a 3M sponge, specifically the coarse, dark-green side)
Step 2: After scrubbing, rinse the pieces under running water. Use dish soap and a separate dish sponge to wash away the black powder
Step 3: Use a kitchen towel to completely dry the Yugi pieces. They should be completely dry before storage
When using Nothyang's Yugi Scrub - which side should I use?
Note: For minor stains, use the grey side of Nothyang's Yugi Scrub and dry-rub
For persistent stains, utilize the dark, black side of Nothyang's Yugi Scrub
PRODUCT NOTICE (READ)
1. EACH PIECE IS HANDMADE
Nothyang makes each Yugi piece by hand
Consequently, you may notice slight variations in size and appearance, such as minor scratches, blemishes, or stains
Note: These minor imperfections do not qualify the product as being "damaged."
2. DO NOT USE STAINLESS STEEL SCRUBBERS/WOOL
Instead, use a regular 3M Dishwashing Sponge - use the dark-green, coarse side
Alternatively, you can use Nothyang's Special Yugi Scrubs
3. SOAK IN VINEGAR BEFORE FIRST USE!
Before first use, soak the Yugi in lukewarm water - with vinegar
(Use a ratio of 2 cups of water to 1 tablespoon of vinegar)
Allow it to soak for approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour - do not exceed this time frame.
After soaking, rinse it with soap and water
Finally, dry it thoroughly with a towel - there should be no water droplets leftover
4. I SEE STAINS ON MY YUGI - WHAT IS THIS?
The Yugi may have been stored with moisture on it, such as water droplets
Remove the stain by dry-scrubbing...
Use the backside of a dry 3M Dishwasher Sponge (the coarse, dark green side)
Or use Nothyang's Special Yugi Scrub
Important: Both the Yugi Ware & the Scrub should be dry when scrubbing
The stain will come off as a fine black powder
Afterwards, rinse it with water and dish soap, and make sure it's completely dry by using a kitchen towel
With frequent use and cleaning of your Yugi ware, its golden sheen will become even more radiant!
