The second style is Sindang-dong Style Tteokbokki. Sindang-dong is a famous town in Seoul known for their soupy Tteokbokki. Since the late 70s, shops there have been serving Tteokbokki as a stew with added ingredients like dumplings, boiled eggs, fish cakes and even ramen noodles! The marinade is spicy but also savory. It's eaten not as a snack, but as a full and satisfying meal.

After-School Tteokbokki Recipe
Fresh Ingredients:
Korean Rice Cakes (300g), Water (200 ml), Onion (1/4 whole), Spring Onion (1/2 a stalk), Fish Cakes (2 Sheets)
Cooking Steps:
1. Pour-in 200ml of Water and Korean Rice Cakes into a large frying pan or wok.
Then pour in the After-School Tteokbokki Marinade and boil on high heat for 3 minutes.
2. After 3 minutes, place in the fresh ingredients of your choice.
Boil for another 5 minutes (Give it a stir it as it boils)

Sindang-dong Soup Tteokbokki Recipe
Fresh Ingredients:
Korean Rice Cakes (250g), Water (700 ml), Onion (1/4 whole), Spring Onion (1/2 a stalk)
Green Cabbage (1/5 whole), Fish Cake (2 sheets), Ramen Noodles (1 Pack)
Cooking Steps:
1. Pour-in 700ml of water and Korean rice cakes into a large pot or wok.
Then pour in the Sindang-dong Tteokbokki Marinade and boil on high heat for 3 minutes.
2. After 3 minutes, place in all of the fresh ingredients.
Boil the entire dish for another 5 minutes (Stir it around as it boils)
The back of the packaging has markings (shown right) that indicate the water amount.
For the After-School Shop Tteokbokki, fill with water up to the 200 ml marking.
For the Sindang-dong Soup Tteokbokki, you'll need 700 ml of water. So fill once to the 300ml line and twice to the 200ml line.
