Similar to the other gochujang offered by Gochujar, this one has a very rich flavor profile and you can definitely taste the difference from the varieties made with cheaper ingredients. Truly gluten-free options seem quite limited when it comes to gochujang (at least from what I could find). I've tried one from Sempio, which I have to say is considerably better (in both taste and ingredients) than other mass-produced varieties that are often chock full of corn syrup. But this one is even better than that.

I wanted to try the black misugaru since it reminded me of similar East-Asian powered (sesame, etc.) drinks that I've had in the past, which I really like. This has quite a similar taste, but is much better quality given that it's made completely from domestically-produced grains and doesn't contain unnecessary junk and additives. I can definitely recommend the black grain version and want to try the other varieties in the near future!

It’s perhaps one of those underrated things that most people never think about, but it’s extremely difficult to get quality sesame seeds around here that are grown in Korea or Japan. It would probably cost an astronomical amount at a specialty store, if it was even available. It is certainly not cheap compared with the available options (usually with sesame seeds from China, regardless of the brand), but the quality is definitely amazing and incomparable. For me, definitely worth the higher price tag. I’m not sure I can tell the difference with the germinated treatment, but that’s a nice bonus, since that tends to make things more nutritious.

These mini cookies are super delicious and have a cute shape. I especially like the dense, chewy texture which, combined with the flavor of toasted honey. Given the size of the bag, I like that they are individually wrapped to preserve freshness for much longer.

I remember seeing this in use at a local Korean food stall and being intrigued by it. But it was only after ordering my own first ttukbaegi that I decided to get one to try myself. It really works beautifully for moving the ttukbaegi around. Although it doesn’t really work with my other cookware, etc., I use my tuukbaegi almost on a daily basis, so the clamp also sees a lot of use.

This is the first ttukbaegi I’ve ever had and I’m so glad to have made the investment. I use it almost every day to make all kinds of stews or just gyeran jjim. My mother is also very impressed by both the traditional look as well as how well it retains heat compared to other types of cookware and ceramicware. Mine is the large size and it is perfect for making meals for 1-2 people.

Compared to the cheaper, mass-produced gochujang options, this one definitely tastes much nicer. You really can notice the difference in quality immediately. Although it is considerably more expensive, it is worth it. Since I don't use that much at a time, it will last quite a while.

Both types of ginseng candy are very tasty. I personally like the ginseng taste from the hard candy better, but prefer the texture of the jelly candy. Neither are too sweet and I can definitely recommend this!

The red ginseng extract has a nice, strong taste of red ginseng but is neither bitter nor overpowering, unlike some of the red ginseng pouch extracts that I’ve tried. The presentation is also very luxurious with both the woven basket and cloth.

The balloon flower extract is quite concentrated, but not overpowering in terms of taste. The flavor definitely leans towards the medicinal side, but is a nice treat (like an expensive honey). I can definitely recommend it!

Similar to high-quality gochujang made from domestic ingredients, there is also a huge difference in quality with gochugaru. That this one is also organic and grown under small-scale production is an added bonus. I would definitely order more from this brand and will probably go for the finer option next time (for making gochujang).

Dining with this full set of yugi ware is like something out of the Korean period dramas. Each piece is simply beautiful and makes the whole dining experience so luxurious and special. I use it every evening. An added bonus is that it makes me want to eat more slowly and just savor the moment.

Anseong Jumul’s belongs to a VERY small group of absolutely quintessential pots for making soups and stews, and or course rice. Perfection, i’m not kidding. Please import everything else they make! Especially the braziers and the griddles!!

Made kimchi with this and it was the necessary kick it needed :)
