Good quality and doesn't let any fermentation smells into the fridge. I also like that the lid is transparent. I think this is a worthwhile purchase especially if you love kimchi!

I preferred jelly, but my colleague preferred candies, so it is all up to personal preference. I felt the jelly was more ginseng taste, while the candy was too sweet for me, despite noticeable ginseng taste.

Great product leaving ginger taste in your mouth, not as many other products out there that are overly sweet. I really recommend it.

I recently switched to an induction stove and my clay Ttukbaegi no longer worked. The fact this is made of cast iron is a huge bonus since it holds heat so well. Nothing sticks and it cooks very even. Also the Gochujar was phenomenal with customer service. I had some issues with ordering and delivery and they were so responsive.

Recently made a fresh batch of kimchi and the difference to Chinese gochugaru is night and day. The latter resulted in bitter kimchi that wasn't nearly as spicy as I wanted. This gochugaru smells fruity and floral and has a lovely bright red hue. I only had to use about 70 grams for 1.9kg of cabbage to get the flavor I like. Pricey but definitely worth it.

Haedam jib had a vibrant red color that I have never seen in any gochugaru that I used before with a pleasantly mild, sweet aftertaste. I am Korean-American who likes spicy food and I would recommend the normal-spicy for kimchi making. Shipping was excellent and this brand definitely sets the standard for me. I hope that a 1 kilogram option would be available in the future.
