Hand-Carved, Bow-Tied in Korean Cloth
[Drida] Korean Mandarin Duck Set
Korean Mandarin Ducks are gifted to newlyweds as a symbol for unity and fidelity. That's because a Mandarin Duck stays monogamous - once it finds a partner, it will stay with that same partner until death.
Today we present you with one of the most beautiful mandarin duck sets we've come across in Korea!
Drida's ducks are hand-carved by a local Korean wood artisan - the front is carved into mini hexagon shapes and scorched with hot flames to bring out a deep-natural brown color. It's then wrapped with traditional Korean wrapping cloth. Simply perfect as a gift!
If you have a wedding or housewarming party to attend, consider gifting one. It's guaranteed to bring out some wide smiles!
FYI: The green duck represents the husband, while the red represent the wife. The ribbon around the male's beak signify that listening (as opposed to talking) is a virtue in married life.
