Organic-Certified, Grown in Korea
[Ol Bareuda] Organic Korean Nurungji & Green Tea
This is one of Our Favorite Korean Teas: Nurungji (Scorched Rice) & Green Tea
This tea blend is often served on Korean Airlines, and many travelers fall in love with it, making it a popular item to buy when visiting Korea.
Green tea on its own has a grassy, slightly bitter aftertaste.
However, the addition of nurungji—scorched rice—introduces a savory, toasty flavor that balances the bitterness perfectly.
The result is a harmonious blend that’s both comforting and soothing for your stomach.
It’s an ideal drink for the morning alongside a light breakfast or as a digestive aid after a heavy, greasy meal.
Today, we're offering Ol Bareuda's Organic Korean Nurungji & Green Tea.
What sets this product apart is that both key ingredients are sourced directly from Korea: the green tea leaves are grown in Hadong's organic tea fields, and the rice comes from Gimje.
Both ingredients are certified organic - grown without chemical fertilizers, synthetic pesticides, or herbicides.
Even better, the tea bags are made from PLA (polylactic acid), derived from corn starch, making them eco-friendly and 100% biodegradable.
If you enjoy green tea but dislike its bitterness, this nurungji blend might become your new favorite!
(Editor's note: It's what got my dad into drinking green tea!)
Each pack contains 30 tea bags.

Am I receiving fresh tea?
Yes, we make small batches every 4-5 weeks to make sure we send only fresh products to our customers
For tea bag products, it's really important to use safe tea bags
We use PLA tea bags made from corn starch, an eco-friendly material that is 100% biodegradable.
We don’t use any adhesives (glue) to attach the string to the tea bag—yuck!
Instead, we use an ultrasonic bonding method—no adhesives needed!
