On-the-Go Breakfast, Green Mugwort Misugaru!
[Bangyudang] Green Misugaru
Here's the latest Misugaru from Bangyudang - this time it's green!
Bangyudang's Green Misugaru is made with a herbal plant called Mugwort - known as sook (쑥) in Korean.
Mugwort is used as garnish in Korean dishes like Jeon (savory pancakes) and Maeuntang (spicy seafood stew).
It's also dehydrated and turned into powder for use in specialty Tteok (ricecakes).
Mugwort has been used as herbal medicine in Korea for generations.
Health benefits include... improving digestion problems, reducing fever and inflammation, promoting blood circulation and making the body warmer.
Bangyudang uses only premium, local-grown mugwort for its Green Misugaru.
This Green Misugaru contains: Mugwort (20%), Barley (50%), Soybeans (15%), and Brown Rice (15%).
So what does it taste like? It starts with a subtle grassy note - followed by the nutty, grainy flavor of misugaru.
We think its the best flavor from Bangyudang!
For a healthy breakfast, mix a few scoops of the Green Misugaru with honey and milk (exact ratio listed below).
I really enjoy the mugwort taste, in addition to the basic misugaru taste. I ordered this flavour of misugaru as part of the three-colour bundle, and if I had to choose just one of the three to reorder, I think it would be this one!
- Mix of roasted and finely ground grains
- Korean mugwort & grains are all grown locally here in Korea

- Korean mugwort is good for aiding digestive issues, promoting blood circulation and making the body warmer!
