[Samlip] Mini Yakgwa Cookies

Yakgwa are traditional Korean Honey Cookies. They were a royal dessert reserved for the King and his Royal Court during the Joseon Dynasty. Honey, during those times, was used as a medicinal ingredient. And these honey-soaked cookies were regarded as 'medicinal dessert'.

Nowadays, it's served as a light snack, alongside a cup of hot tea or coffee. Yakgwa is made by frying dough and soaking it ginger-infused honey for 6-8 hours. It has a slightly crunchy exterior with a soft-and-chewy inside. Many people say the taste reminds them of a donut or soft-dough cookie.

We chose Samlip's brand because the cookies are mini-sized. (We find that the regular-sized Yakgwa are often too big to finish.) These mini-yakgwa are also individually wrapped and easy to eat.

If you're looking for a simple snack to serve guests, try traditional Korean Yakgwa!

Lecker

Wir aßen die kleine Kekse das erste Mal in einem koreanischen Restaurant in Manhattan. Meine Tochter schmeckten sie so gut, dass sie ein Foto von den Keksen machte. Und wir fanden sie in diesem Shop. 👍🏻😃
Klein und richtig lecker.

Delicious!

These come in a bag with a lot a yakgwa individually wrapped. They are not oily and small about the size of a quarter coin -perfect for when you are having a slight craving but not wanting to overindulge.

perfect snack size

I know the regular Yakgwa and they were always too sweet and too big for my taste. These small ones are ideal for my coffee or tea break, but I have to admit that I don't just eat one. They're so delicious that I usually grab two or three...
They have a denser texture, subtle sweetness, are not greasy at all and just look cute

Brilliant experience

These yakgwa cookies tasted better than Hyosung brand ones which I have tried before. Less grease, subtle sweetness, perfect with coffee or tea. Delivery was super fast, within a week of placement of the order. Lovely note included which was really sweet. 감사합니다 :)
