Organic sesame seeds grown in India are first sprouted, then carefully washed and pressed only once. This single-press method keeps a clean, rich sesame flavor that lingers on the palate.

The sprouted seeds are slowly roasted at low temperatures, so there's no burnt taste and less concern about benzopyrene, a compound that can form during high-temperature roasting.

Sprouted for better nutrition

The seeds go through Chung-O's patented sprouting process, where moisture and temperature are carefully controlled to wake the seed up naturally. Sprouting activates the seed's own enzymes and helps unlock a broader range of nutrients.

The seeds are washed at least three times as they sprout, so they come out so clean they need no further washing before roasting.
