Hot, Comforting & Satisfying

[Samjin Eomuk] Odeng Broth Tea

If you lived in Seoul, you know the deep satisfaction that comes from a humble cup of hot Odeng (Fish Cake) Broth!

It serves as the perfect chaser for spicy foods like Tteokbokki. Provides warmth on cold winter days. And delivers the perfect shot of umami, saltiness and flavor. It's also strangely comforting to balance in one hand as you pick at foods with the other...

Today, we present you with Samjin Eomuk's Odeng Broth Tea Bags. Samjin Eomuk is very famous in Korea. It's Busan's oldest fish cake factory and carries the reputation as the best fish cake brand in Korea.

Samjin Eomuk collaborated with Nok Cha Won - a famous Korean tea company. Together, they captured the flavor of Samjin's famous fish cake broth in tea form. And boy, did they deliver! The odeng broth is deep-tasting, slightly-salty and layered with flavor. It will remind you of that "pojang macha" taste!

Yummy

I like to use these as stock for wontons or noodles or fishcakes, also delicious by itself.

So delicious

I just tried this and it’s so good that I needed to write a review about this lol it’s tastes so authentic and deep, you would never have known that it was an instant broth. It’s a bit peppery, has a lot of umami, and very smooth. I put some cellophane noodles in it to make a quick noodle soup and it’s so good, I highly recommend getting these. I just opened my first bag today and I think I might just buy these again and restock now lol

A Very nice broth for if you’re cold!

I bought the original broth tea, and it was very good! It’s more of a broth than a tea, and it’s nice to have if you feel cold! The flavor itself is Warm and cozy, with a hint of spice, but not to the point where you’ll need water!
