Sip after meals, helps with digestion
[Young Miller] Korean Burdock Root Tea (100g)
Korean burdock root tea (우엉차) is a naturally caffeine-free tea traditionally enjoyed in Korea as a daily wellness drink. It’s gentle, comforting, and easy to enjoy any time of day.
Burdock root contains natural prebiotic fiber (inulin), which helps support digestion and nourish beneficial gut bacteria.
That’s why it’s often enjoyed after meals to help ease digestion and reduce bloating.
Traditionally associated with cleansing, burdock root tea is also commonly consumed to support the body’s natural liver and kidney functions.
What does it taste like?
Burdock root tea has a mild, earthy flavor, with light nutty notes. It’s smooth, subtly sweet, and never bitter, making it easy to drink throughout the day without feeling heavy or medicinal.

What began 20 years ago at a grain market with my parents’ mill has evolved into Young Mill. With the same care, attention to detail, and integrity, we are committed to offering only honest, fresh products to our customers.

Preserving Harvest-Fresh Quality
Working alongside our parents at the mill, we often milled grains that customers brought to us. Over time, we noticed that many grains had been improperly stored at room temperature—resulting in spoilage, insect damage, or excessive dryness.
When such grains are roasted, no amount of skill or careful blending can compensate. The difference in flavor and aroma between properly stored grains and poorly stored ones is unmistakable.
In truth, storing a year’s supply of grains in low-temperature conditions is not easy.
At Young Mill, however, we are committed to delivering consistent, top-tier quality. That is why all sun-dried grains are transferred immediately upon harvest into large-scale refrigerated storage facilities. By maintaining low-temperature storage year-round, we preserve the grains’ harvest-fresh aroma and flavor.
From careful ingredient selection to strict storage standards, we remain uncompromising to ensure fresh, flavorful quality.

A Mill Specialized in Misugaru
Traditional grinders often leave the millstone exposed, making them vulnerable to dust and impurities. In many cases, millstones are also used for long periods without replacement.
Young Mill uses hygienic stainless-steel grinders, the same standard used for baby food preparation. This ensures a clean process and produces a fine, smooth texture with an exceptionally gentle mouthfeel.

Regular Food Safety Testing
All products are regularly tested for safety in compliance with food safety regulations.

HOW TO BREW
- Prepare 1 liter of boiling water.
- Add 4-6 root tea pieces to the boiling water.
- Boil over medium heat for 3–5 minutes.
- Once fully brewed, let the tea cool slightly and remove the solids.
TIPS ON ROOT TEAS
- You may boil this together with other root teas or fruit teas. (Examples: lotus root + burdock, lotus root + adzuki bean, balloon flower root + ginger, quince + ginger, etc.)
- To make a single cup, use about 2–3 pieces and steep before drinking.
- Root and fruit teas can be brewed a second time—so don’t discard them after the first steep—and will remain rich and flavorful, similar to the initial brew.
